Electrical System Composition and Functions
1. A fully functional, operational electronically controlled gasoline engine (complete with all accessories) and its original engine control unit (ECU). The engine can be operated under various conditions—such as starting, accelerating, and decelerating—to comprehensively demonstrate the structure and operating principles of an electronically controlled gasoline engine.
2. The control panel is equipped with 2mm diagnostic terminals designed for a secure, reliable connection with multimeter probes. These terminals serve as test points for diagnosing the engine’s electronic control system, allowing for the measurement of electrical signals—including resistance, voltage, current, frequency, and waveforms—to facilitate fault diagnosis and signal monitoring.
3. The panel features an instrument cluster, a fuel pressure gauge, and a vacuum gauge, providing real-time displays of parameters such as engine speed, engine temperature, oil pressure/status, malfunction indicator light (MIL) status, charging system status, fuel pressure, and vacuum pressure.
4. Four digital voltmeters are installed to enable real-time observation of voltage fluctuations in sensor signals.
5. Dedicated indicator lights for the fuel injectors and the fuel pump are included to show their respective operating status.
6. An electronic accelerator pedal is provided to control the engine under various operating conditions.
7. An OBD diagnostic port is integrated, allowing for the connection of specialized or universal automotive diagnostic scanners. This enables self-diagnostic functions such as ECU coding, reading and clearing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), accessing data streams, performing actuator tests, configuring parameters, analyzing waveforms, and key programming.
8. The system is equipped with a master power switch and protective guards for all rotating components.
